Walking at night (Matrix Reloaded V2

I can see my breath, I shiver.
The streetlights cast an eerie glow over
bladed shadows.
I look up, expecting to see
a hero.
This world has always needed
a hero.
Criminals run rampant
through the city.
They destroy the peace
kepping children
indoors.
I scream in
RAGE
and no one
Answers.
The hero
is gone.
Maybe he was never here.
It's night, pitch black,
with bladed shadows.
A lack of that brilliance they call
Light.
No one
is here.
Have they
forgotten
us?
Then I realize
I have been looking for
a hero.
When all along
The hero was me.
No one else rises up
so it must be
up to me to
do what
no one else can.

Apology and response

Apology
Dear library people,
Dust has gathered in empty spaces
I'm hiding from your angry faces
because this book is my only friend
And you won't get it back until I get to the end.
My parents they will call me crazy
But in reality I'm just lazy
I am aware of the money I owe,
I have no way to pay it though.

I feel the need to wrap this up...
SO goodbye!

My apologies,
Timmy

Response
Dear timmy.
Thank you for telling us
the fate that has befallen our beloved book.
We are happy you love it so much,
This was the first time it has ever been read.
You do know though, that "a touchable world"
can be renewed.

The magic of books

Some say...
a book is a world
of words
that allows for
an endless
adventure
a book is a teleport spell
with no chance of failure.

Others say books are paper and glue and ink
nothing more.
Why can't they see that books are magic
Why do some people hate to read

it does not make sense
Books are meant to be devoured
the words are meant to be savored, looked over and enjoyed.
a book is a magnificent meal.

Books are magic
